God says, “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficent to finish it?” (Luke 14:26)

Surely He would have taken His own advice and thought it all through before setting things in motion.
Why else would Jesus be called, “The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” (Rev. 13:8)

Am I saying God knows the future in infinite detail, including what every individual will say and do? Yes.

Does that mean all of history is settled, like a story written down in a book; that we’re like characters in a movie with no free will? No.

I’m saying God has imagined living your life, my life, and everryone else’s life who has ever, or will ever live, that He knows each of us much better than we will ever know ourselves; so knowing what we will do and say is child’s play for Him.

God creates the characters, and moves them on and off of the stage of life as He chooses.

God is writing His-Story with free agents who get to do as they please.

I like to say, ‘God is more than able to kayak His way through the whirlpools and waterfalls, and rocks created by the choices of free moral agents, to accomplish His intended will.’

In other words, I’m saying God writes history with people’s lives.

“Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples; and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.’ (1 Cor. 10:11)

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning.” (Rom. 15:4)

I believe this is why Scripture can be made up of various books written by men with different personalities from different times and cultures, and still haave continuity, because we have an AUTHOR; and History is His-Story.

“For the scripture saith unto Pharoah, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.” (Rom. 9:17)

Mordecai said to Esther, “Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)

Joseph said to his brothers, “You thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” (Gen. 50:20)

God is not only the Writer of His-Story, but also the Producer, the Director, and the Lead Actor who appears in many different roles.

Creator, Michael the Archangel, the Angel of the LORD, the Captain of the Lord’s Host, and Jesus of Nazareth the Messiah, He is Christ our KING of kings and LORD of Lords, His Holy Spirit prevades His Universe.

He is rasing Himself up a bride, the human race, He calls us Adam.

(Should it surprise us that it’s all unfolding exactly as He imagined it?)
